Department of Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology

 

Assistant Professor, Quantitative Methods/Statistics. The College of Education’s Department of Educational, School and Counseling Psychology seeks applicants for a nine-month, tenure track position in quantitative methods and statistics to start Fall Semester 2008.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach primarily graduate and some undergraduate courses in educational and psychological statistics, measurement, and other areas appropriate to candidate’s area of expertise and department’s needs
  • Conduct, present, and publish research in relevant refereed journals
  • Seek and obtain extramural funding for research and training
  • Supervise master’s theses and doctoral dissertations
  • Provide service to the university, community and the profession
  • Teaching assignments may include structural equation modeling, HLM, item response theory, generalizability theory, meta-analysis, and their applications

 

Required Qualifications:

  • An earned doctorate in Educational Psychology or a related field (or anticipated by 8/15/2008)
  • Record of scholarly productivity commensurate with level of experience
  • Commitment to pursue external funding
  • Commitment to the principles of diversity
  • Potential for excellent teaching
